The album is the result of a collaborative composition process between the members of Reanimation Orchestra. To achieve the three different pieces presented here, the ensemble was divided into 3 groups, each group collaboratively composed one work. The works were then interpreted and recorded by the entire ensemble.
""Double Concerto in B-flat major" by Marie Takahashi, Ingólfur Vilhjálmsson: The piece is a dialogue between a pre-recorded theme and the live musicians.
“Wellen und Formen” by Jack Adler-McKean, Caroline Cecilia Tallone, Elo Masing: The piece consists of two different materials - forms and waves. The points of change between the two types of material for each instrument are based on the Fibonacci sequence.
“We Are Volcanoes” by JD Zazie, Ame Zek, Guilherme Rodrigues: The main theme of the composition is climate change and its physical and emotional impact on us. To translate this into music, each member of the orchestra had a guiding character and two or more reference indications to interpret.
